Dear Miah Feroz,
For nearly 25 years, the United Nations Global Compact has been working to build a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders. We invite leaders like you to join us for our annual participant gathering, the Leaders Summit of the UN Global Compact, at the Javits Center in New York on 24 September 2024. We aim to accelerate action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year’s Leaders Summit, a global platform for change, will be held alongside the 2024 Summit of the Future, a high-level UN event aimed at forging a new international consensus on how to deliver a better present and safeguard the future, during the UN General Assembly High-level Week 2024. The Leaders Summit will bring together business leaders, UN officials, Government leaders and civil society professionals from around the globe who are committed to raising the bar on sustainability and shaping the future of responsible business.
The Leaders Summit will emphasize how businesses can become responsible advocates to address converging crises. Further, as digital innovations, AI and technology disruptions rapidly evolve, the Leaders Summit will be an essential forum to connect with businesses on applying a principles-based approach to ensure that risks and shocks are addressed and opportunities for positive impacts on sustainable development and prosperity for all are maximized.
Following the 2023 launch of the UN Global Compact Forward Faster initiative—a global platform for ambitious, credible corporate action—this year’s Leaders Summit will also provide an opportunity to take stock of progress achieved in the first year and tackle critical societal challenges that impact the future of business.
Being a participant in the UN Global Compact means your business is committed to promoting and achieving sustainability at the highest levels. Join your colleagues worldwide as we learn and grow in our journey towards creating cross-cutting solutions and breakthroughs on diverse challenges, including climate action, water resilience, gender equality, sustainable finance and a living wage. You can register to attend the event by clicking here.
Yours sincerely,
